A bit about the company
My name is Lana (LAY-NA), and I’m the heart and soul behind Sunflower Events—founded in 2022 with a simple idea: to bring people together through Maine’s rich heritage of food, music, and scenic views with each celebration.
I began with public events and soon found my true passion in weddings. Through mentorship and community engagement, I built strong local connections that I now bring to every celebration. It’s like the saying, “I know a guy”—and chances are, we do!
Now, you benefit from everything we’ve learned—trusted vendor relationships, thoughtful organization, and hands-on coordination that lets you truly relax and enjoy your day without being left to do the work yourself.
My approach has always been rooted in calmness, comfort, and connection—because while planning a wedding takes time and care, it should still feel joyful, never overwhelming. I’m here to make the process easier, offering the kind of support you’d expect from a trusted friend—someone who listens, guides, and helps every step of the way.
When I’m not planning events, you’ll likely find me foraging for wild mushrooms, rescuing animals in need, cooking up elaborate meals for my family, or spending time with our pets—Mr. T the tortoise and Lola the Frug (our Frenchie-pug mix).
